great granola
























2 cups rolled oats 1/4 cup nonfat dried milk
1/2 cup each wheat germ, shredded unsweetened coconut, slivered almonds, sunflower seeds, and roasted soy nuts
1 cup cashews 1/4 cup sesame seeds(optional)
1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup dried fruit

mix in a large bowl oats, dried milk, all nuts, seeds wheat germ and coconut and dried fruit. in a small saucepan combine, honey, syrup, vanilla, brown sugar and oil and bring to a boil. pour over dry mixture and mix together with a wooden spoon. oil a rimmed baking sheet (or use parchment paper) and pour mixture onto sheep. bake 15 minutes. stir granola and bake another 10 minutes.
let the granola cool completely on baking sheet. store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
