"funeral" potatoes

1 bag hash browns
1 3/4 c cream of chicken soup
2 tbl butter
3/4 c grated cheese
1 c sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1/4 c onions sauteed in butter
2 c cornflakes

put frozen hash browns in bottom of baking dish, in separate pan saute onions, then pour onions and butter over hash browns. next heat cream of chicken soup, butter, cheese, sour cream, and milk. pour this mixture over the first. bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. you can make ahead and refrigerate. just before baking crumble cornflakes over top.
